Year-Round Mentoring Group for Emerging Leaders

with Adrian Reynolds

Programme Overview

GOAL:

  • to resource emerging leaders with long-term strategies for growth, development, and resilience in the service
to which God has called them

  • to develop a group of men from across Europe in similar circumstances which will, in the Lord’s goodness, be a long-term support cohort serving the cause of Christ in Europe

PLAN:

The Network has a number of components, each designed to meet these twin goals.

  • The Network begins with a private Network at the European Leadership Forum annual meeting in Wisła, Poland, 18-21 May 2025. This consists of four three-hour morning Network sessions, plus an evening social activity.

  • An initial one-to-one mentoring session with Adrian to take place at the European Leadership Forum annual meeting in Wisła, Poland.

  • A 48-hour in-person retreat from noon to noon on 2-4 December 2025 Budapest, Hungary.

o   Five 2-hour online sessions as a group (dates and curriculum below).

o   Two informal online prayer times, recognising that supporting one another in prayer is an integral part of leadership growth.

o   Two one-to-one online mentoring sessions with Adrian over the course of the year.

  • This plan equates to a monthly commitment from May through to April (with a break in July).

PARTICIPANTS: Eight to ten men willing to commit to the annual programme and become part of a learning community. Participation is by invitation only and will include an application and an interview with a member of the FOCL team. Participants will have to provide a reference from a senior leader in their country/context.

QUALIFICATIONS: We want to convene a group of men serving in similar settings and at a similar stage of leadership development. This Network is therefore open to those serving in leadership in a church or in an organisational capacity (e.g., a seminary) and with up to, but not more than, 15 years of leadership experience. It is for leaders in Europe.
