Year-Round Mentoring Group in Marketing Communications

with Keith Ogorek

Programme Overview

Communicating what you do as a ministry is critical, yet many organizations struggle to create effective communication. If this is a challenge for you and your organization, then you will want to consider participating in this year-round mentoring program focused on marketing and development communications.  Drawing from years of experience in the marketplace and working with ministries, Keith Ogorek will share essential principles you can use to make your marketing communication more effective.

Whether you need to keep your constituency better informed, are thinking about a capital campaign, are raising support for individuals, or are communicating a new strategic opportunity, this mentoring program will give you principles you can apply immediately, but can also use to build a plan over time.

In this program, you will learn:

  • How marketing aligns with a Christian worldview

  • Who are your most critical audiences

  • How to craft a compelling message

  • How design can help improve response and engagement

  • Ways to evaluate and improve your current communications

  • What elements you should include when building a marketing communications plan

  • How you should measure your effectiveness

  • How to use these principles to impact fund raising communications

  • How to think about and communicate effectively when embarking on a capital campaign.

God has called you to a particular ministry, so let’s make sure others know very clearly what that is and how they can support you to have an even greater impact for the Kingdom.

GOAL: To equip those responsible for marketing and development communications to be more effective with their efforts by teaching them principles they can apply on an ongoing basis so people know what God has called the ministry to accomplish, what impact they are having, and how people can be involved in helping them accomplish their goals.

Plan:

  • First meeting during the Forum Expo on Monday 19th May 13:15-16:00 at the 2025 Forum in Wisła, Poland

  • Four two-hour webinars with webinar assignments

  • Three-day retreat from noon to noon on 2-4 December 2025 (exact location TBD)

  • Individual coaching session with Keith during the months of March and April 2026

  • Pre-Forum Conference at the 2026 Forum (Friday, 15 May, dinner together – Saturday, 16 May, morning)

PARTICIPANTS: Six to eight leaders who are currently responsible for overseeing and/or executing the marketing and development communications for their Christian organisation or church. These leaders should be willing to receive training throughout the year in order to improve their marketing communications, learn from each other, know how to develop a plan, and find ways to evaluate and measure the effectiveness of their various marketing communications.

QUALIFICATIONS: Each participant should be involved in overseeing and/or executing marketing communications. They could be serving as a staff member or leader in their church or organization with a role that is related to and/or includes marketing communications.
