Year-Round Mentoring Group for Marketplace Leaders

Programme Overview
Goal
To support, equip, and mentor leaders and aspiring leaders in the European marketplace to navigate the challenge of integrating the professional, personal, and spiritual dimensions of their lives. Desired results include greater clarity of purpose, direction, and desired impact; thus, providing a context and framework for consistent, effective decision making.
Participants
Ten to twelve business leaders or owners who desire to be used by God to have greater impact in their business and community.
Qualifications
Participants are devoted followers of Jesus Christ and employed in the secular marketplace as business owners, CEOs and presidents, or managers in their companies. Aspiring business managers may be accepted depending on experience.

Three-day Retreat on 2-4 December 2025 in Budapest, Hungary
Pre-Forum Conference at the 2026 Forum (Friday, 15 May, dinner together – Saturday, 16 May, morning). Participants will still need to apply for the European Leadership Forum and will be responsible for paying Forum fees in order to participate in the 2026 Forum. Participants must also pay for their own travel expenses.
YRM Leader
Stephen Giere Giere has served in Christian ministry in America and Europe for more than forty years. He taught and led a Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) class of 500 men in Chicago for seventeen years. Steve is a board member with the Forum of Christian Leaders serving in Europe with the European Leadership Forum. Key to his role is shepherding and mentoring young leaders. He serves as a lecturer/mentor at the Cambridge Leaders Network in Cambridge, UK. Steve and his wife, Connie, are residents of Geneva, IL and members of The Moody Church in Chicago, a diverse, urban congregation with seventy countries of birth and fifty mother languages represented in its membership. There he teaches, mentors, and serves as an elder. They have two grown children and ten grandchildren. Steve retired in 2019 after 45 years engaged in finance with experience in corporate management as CEO of a commercial bank, and as a business owner establishing an investment management practice. Steve earned his B.A. in psychology at North Central College in Naperville, IL, and M.M. from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
